Ok so I said my obsession would become a real thing lol. I’m in love with midi skirts and dresses. I have some in my online shopping cart right now lol. What a coincidence that this one says LOVE lol.
I never buy clothes because of label or price tag. I buy them because I love them. My style represents who I am and I feel that if you have to buy expensive things to look good your doing something wrong.
Don’t get me wrong I love some high end things as well which I will feature soon. But I want my blog to be for everyone. No matter what your pockets look like.
My clutch I have had since last Christmas and actually this was my first time using it because I forgot I had it lol.
This skirt is also cotton, very breathable and very comfy. I have also developed a love for sneaker wedges and crop tops lol.
Comic book lovers would appreciate my outfit the other day I would think lol. I was in some storage units yesterday and over course leave it to me to over dress that day lol.
I’m having a love affair with midi skirts and dresses. There are still a few I’m preparing my clothes for so you will be seeing more of them lol. I loved this skirt because not only was it so cute (I’m kind of a super hero nerd thanks to my son lol) and inexpensive, It can be dressed up or down.
I love the fun, vibrant print and the cotton fabric is so breathable and comfortable it’s great. I wore it thinking that it would be a chill work day but of course it was not lol.
As for my sneakers, I like a lot of girls (don’t leave me alone in this lol) was a huge Spice Girls lover lol so when I saw them I had to have them. Yes I know the chunky, ugly platform that some people hate but I secretly love lol.
My hair and makeup was very minimal for the day. I’m in the process of changing my hair color so I haven’t been putting much effort into styles or extensions until I figure out my color so a top knot it was for the day lol. I just had some light foundation, concealer, and mascara on and I used my beloved little EOS egg and Milani color statement lipstick in Teddy Bare for my lips and wore my large rimmed black nerd glasses.
Hello dolls, so I haven’t done a monthly favorites for the blog so I figured why not now? I didn’t have many this month because I’ve been trying to give my face a break and I haven’t really been makeup shopping in awhile. (What has the world come to lol?) But the products that I have been pretty consistently using I thought I would post my most used, favorite ones for the month of July.
I have been hearing about the Revlon Colorstay foundation and I have the Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation which is great but I’ve been using my Kat Von D which I’m in love with btw for so long that I never gave it a second thought. I was going out somewhere one night and didn’t have time to go home so I stopped at the Walmart and decided to grab that one. To my surprise it’s a really great foundation and I’ve been using it for the past 2 months. It’s usually the one I grab for when I’m getting ready. Great coverage and finish and paired with my ELF translucent powder I don’t have to touch up my face during the day.
I’ve also really been loving the ELF studio line brushes and the fact that they are $3 at target is amazing and any brush Target doesn’t carry you can find online at http://www.eyeslipsface.com.
All in all the drugstore is winning this month I guess lol.
Of course my Naked 2 palette is my staple eyeshadow palette. I grab that and my Naked Basics palette almost all the time and especially when I’m working I use it on brides all the time. It just works so well.
The only none beauty favorite I have is my iPad mini. I love this little bug. I had the bigger iPad 2 and I got rid of it and got the mini because it fit so much better in my purse or bag and works just fine for me. I use it mainly for blogging on the go, posting photos or as my portfolio for meetings and potential clients. I especially love it because it syncs with my iPhone so I have everything right there on either one. I’m just an Apple geek I guess lol.
Well dolls that’s all for my July favorites.

I am not sponsored by any of these companies and I was not paid for this post. All products were purchased with my own money and these are my own opinions.
So I have another review for you, well sort of review/first impression and this time it’s for the E.L.F Jumbo eye pencils. I’m going to assume that these are suppose to be like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils only these are retractable and they are a bit fatter than the NYX pencils.
Now pigmentation is good. Some are better than others. They glide on smooth. The ones I picked up were a dark blue color called Like A Boss and a black color called Midnight Rendezvous.
Target was having a sale and these are originally $2 but I picked them up for $1.40 each.
The color payoff of the pencils is pretty nice. The only thing I would say is the black has sparkles in it and I’m not a sparkle fan like that, I was looking for more of a plain black but oh well I guess I can use it as a base. The blue has no sparkle which I like.
They don’t really have staying power, like I put them on and let them sit and wiped my finger across them and they come off extremely easy so I would suggest setting it with possibly an eye primer and then a powder shadow on top of it. I’m going to try it out that way and see how that works and then do a full review but this is just kind of a first impression sort of thing lol. All in all for the price they seem pretty nice and should work well especially for beginners.
Have any of you tried these out? How do you like them? Until next time :0)
So I’ve been hearing about this Zote soap for awhile now and just never tried it. I usually wash my makeup brushes with either baby shampoo or a designated makeup brush cleaner. But I was out of those so I decided to give this soap a try. Oh boy was I surprised. :0)
It’s a large pink bar of soap and it’s used for a little bit of everything actually. Laundry soap, brush cleaner, etc.
You only need a small piece to clean your brushes. What I do is take the soap in one hand and wet my brush, then just run the brush in my hand across the soap until it’s soaps up and then rinse and repeat until the brush is clean.
The different in the brush and how quickly the soap cleans them is amazing. Out of everything I have used this is by far the best. The makeup just comes running out of the brush and is clean in minutes depending on how dirty the brush is and what product you used with it.
Over all I can say I will definitely be using this soap for my brushes from now on. It works amazing and my brushes come out clean and soft.
Hello everyone. So I figured I would show you guys what I was up to this weekend. I did a portfolio shoot with my bestie and beauty partner Kryssie.
So much went into this shoot, this was our first portfolio shoot in over a year and my first time getting back into the groove of things lol. We advertised, cast the models, picked the themes, picked the photographers, set everything up, etc.
It’s so much work that goes into a photoshoot that no one thinks of. Behind the scenes people usually are the ones that get everything together and set everything in motion. We had no other help other than the photographers that took the pictures. We set up everything ourselves.
Behind the scenes
The hairstylist and makeup artist usually are standing the entire time. We were standing for 9 hours yesterday and it was crazy lol. But we had so much fun.
I will have pictures of the ladies and the photographers information in my next post. The photos are being edited right now. :0)
So to kick start my new site name and all I figured why not start off with something that I love…. Nails :0)
The color of the yellow polish is actually a really pretty color both in the bottle and on the nail. If its painted nice and neat with a white polish underneath to bring out the neon color.
The pink which actually comes off orange in the picture I don’t know why. But it’s a neon pink color and is really pretty for the Summer.
Rosy Nail Polish in Playmate and KS Nail Polish in Neon Pink
The KS brand polish I have used before and I like the colors I have tried. The Rosy polish I’ve never tried but I also feel like I wasn’t feeling this polish as much because of the crappy job I feel the nail tech did on my nails. She painted the white polish on streaky which showed through the yellow and didn’t wait for the polish to dry well enough before painting a clear coat which left slight pink streaks on the yellow nails.
While I would suggest trying the colors out for yourself I would say be very careful and make sure you let the polish dry before painting a clear coat over it. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed by the mannerisms or polish job from the salon so I will not be returning. Well, that’s all for now dolls.
